The firefighter rescue belt (hereinafter referred to as FRB) is intended for insurance when working at height, rescuing people and self-rescue of firefighters during fire extinguishing and related emergency rescue operations, as well as for carrying a firefighter's axe and a firefighter's carbine.
The belt consists of a two-pin buckle (1), a clamp (2), a carabiner holder (3), a belt loop (4), a belt tape (5), and a pad (6). The buckle pins and the buckle provide a rigid fixation of the belt on the firefighter's waist. The carabiner holder provides a reliable connection between the PPS and the carabiner, and with the help of the belt loop - placement of the carabiner and its adhesion to the PPS. (see Fig.)
PPS tape - technical special purpose (model FWG) made of polyester with fire-resistant impregnation. Buckle and carabiner holder - steel with anti-corrosion coating. Clamp, belt loop and pad - saddle leather.
The PPS is distinguished by its simple design, ease of use, technological effectiveness, use of high-quality materials and relatively low weight. The overlay, clamp and belt loop are made of genuine leather, which facilitates the operation of the belt when bending, and also increases the durability of the holes for the buckle pins.
Technical specifications
The rescue belt for firefighters PPS can withstand a static load of at least 11.25 kN for at least 60 seconds after being exposed to:
- ambient temperature 50 °C for at least 6 hours
- ambient temperature minus 40 °C for at least 6 hours
- ambient temperature 200 °C for at least 3 minutes
- water for at least 1 hour
- 6% foaming agent solution for at least 1 hour
The buckle has studs, which virtually eliminates the movement of the belt in the buckle. The free end of the belt does not overlap the carabiner holder. The belt loop is sewn to the belt tape. The use of a holster button makes it easy to attach the carabiner and increases the durability of the belt loop.
