The CALISIA VULCAN helmet (type FHR) is designed to protect the head, face, and eyes of firefighters and rescuers during firefighting and emergency rescue operations. It provides resistance to mechanical and thermal impacts.
The weight of the helmet (without cape and without additional equipment) is up to 1600 g.
Manufacturer's warranty is 12 months from the date of sale.
Service life : 5 years from the date of commissioning.
Design
The shell is made of flame-retardant PA 6.6 polyamide reinforced with fiberglass, providing high mechanical and thermal resistance. The chin straps are made of polyamide. The interior components that come into contact with the user's head are made of genuine leather, and the shock-absorbing liner is made of polyurethane foam. To ensure a stable fit, the helmet uses a height-adjustable support strap and smoothly adjusts head circumference from 54–62 cm (52–64 cm is also possible).
The helmet comes in five colors: black, beige, green, red, and yellow. It features a retractable face shield and goggles, both molded from high-temperature, fire-, and chemical-resistant polycarbonate.
The helmet can be additionally equipped with
- individual flashlight;
- flashlight mount;
- face shield with infrared filter and gold-colored outer coating;
- aluminized cape.
The mandatory delivery set includes:
- helmet assembly (including one cape, goggles and breathing apparatus mask holders);
- operating manual combined with a passport;
- individual packaging (bag or package).
The firefighter's helmet consists of a body, internal fittings, a face shield, goggles, a chin strap, fastening elements for an individual flashlight and a breathing apparatus mask, and a cape.
The helmet's internal fittings ensure safety and comfort. They allow for the following adjustments: helmet height, helmet angle (ensuring proper helmet position and face shield distance), main harness circumference (to fit head size), chinstrap length, chinstrap position, and net attachment to the main harness.
The face shield is raised and lowered by grasping the visor and pulling it up or down, respectively. The glasses are raised and lowered using the eyeglass adjustment levers, sliding them up or down, respectively. If any one component of the internal hardware is damaged, it can be replaced with a similar component from the manufacturer.
